Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a person who leaped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, securing a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
