Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in the last two tournaments of the year because of a health issue she has been battling over the past 10 days.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to regain her health ahead of launching next year's training.

These plans are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu required blood pressure checks in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when losing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She needed once more medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

She was also playing noticeably restricted in the final set against Zhu due to the lower back problem that has been a concern on several occasions in 2025.

These outcomes signaled a promising season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 after a long gap since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

Raducanu won 28 victories in the current season and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami Open in March.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro en route prior to a loss in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

The first plan with the former trainer of Nadal was through the season's conclusion but the partnership will continue, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.

She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

She came very close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati during August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she reached the third round then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
