Police have published shocking video showing a motorist performing dangerous skidding techniques around a traffic circle during an unauthorized car meet, placing spectators at significant danger of harm.

A 23-year-old from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
In addition, the court issued a one-year license suspension and mandated community service along with a behavioral course.

According to authorities, the video was captured at an illegal car meet in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, featuring the individual driving a distinctive colored vehicle.

An officer commented: “Residents, drivers and our traffic officers have had enough with these crowds of drivers thoughtlessly taking over public roads and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “These events are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place participants and innocent bystanders at danger of serious injury.”
He finished: “We will continue to take legal action against these individuals and I hope these recent cases serve as a warning: you will face consequences.”
